Lovely prayer hall and stunning setting for a wedding (nikkah) with an ornate chandelier (see photo). The imam was knowledgeable and was happy to speak in many languages.

Acton Mosque is an Islamic place of worship. It is very welcoming and while inside praying or reciting the Quran you feel relaxed inside its white walls. On these walls you can see reliefs of writings from the Holy Quran. Its floor is covered with beautiful carpets of bright blue color which contributes to the permanence and enjoying its spirituality. Mashaa Allah.........!!!!!

You go through a small courtyard and into the Masjid building. In the courtyard are shoe racks. The building has a toilet and wudu area straight ahead, the women's entrance is on the right. The wudu area has gentleman and disabled toilets with toilet paper and lota. The wudu area is big enough for about 10 at a time. The prayer hall on the left has some nice blue carpet with markings showing prayer spaces and in the front on the left is a digital screen showing prayer or salat times. In the front in the left are approximately 20 or 30 chairs in a few rows. The prayer hall looks big enough for around 100 people. They have a Saturday afternoon youth club with table tennis, pool and refreshments and various classes and adverts for solicitors and free funerals.

I’m from Sheffield and I googled the closest masjid and found Action mosque. I had a great experience from ablution to salah. I wanted to make a card contribution but the machine was faulty so I was unable to.
